A passionate advocate based in Chicago, Illinois, Shivam Bhargava earned a B.S. in Neuroscience with minors in Social and Economic Justice and Education from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. Passionate about Asian American advocacy, he served as Director of UNC Holi Moli and Director of Campus Engagement for the Asian American Center during his time at UNC. Shivam currently conducts research at the University of Chicago Center for Asian Health Equity as a Program Manager. Inspired by his previous social justice and advocacy work, Shivam works with community-based organizations to develop health programs and research initiatives that address health disparities affecting Asian and Black immigrant communities across the Midwest.
